BUWOG completes “Schöneck 13”

At the end of February 2022, BUWOG completed another residential project in Vienna, “Schöneck 13” at Bernreiterplatz in the 21st district, featuring 65 privately financed condominiums, among them five terraced housing-style maisonettes in the interior courtyard. schneider+schumacher Architekten ZT GmbH is responsible for the project’s architecture. “Schöneck 13” is part of BUWOG’s series of completions in 2022: this year alone, the company is placing over 2,000 apartments on the market – a new record for BUWOG.

Featuring high-quality, modern fixtures and fittings, the apartments in “Schöneck 13”, each ranging from 34 sqm to 109 sqm, are designed for a variety of needs, from the first shared home for young families to a quiet, pleasant home in retirement. The green interior courtyard serves as an area to relax and encourages good neighbourly relations. “We’ve completed a project here in Floridsdorf, which is a perfect combination of urban living and rural idyll,” says Andreas Holler, managing director of BUWOG Group GmbH. “It’s the manageable number of apartments that ensures a relaxed living experience, which is further enhanced by the natural surroundings. At the same time, the project has excellent connections to the public transport network.” Due to the limited height of just three levels (plus ground floor), it blends harmoniously into the village-like environment. Sustainable heat is provided by a gas-powered heating system with solar thermal energy, the solar thermal collectors for which have been installed on the rooftops of the terraced houses.

Natural and urban environment

A characteristic feature of the project is indeed the combination of urban infrastructure with numerous opportunities for shopping, recreational and gastronomic services as well as schools and kindergartens on the one hand and the rural character of Großjedlersdorf on the other. Recreational areas such as the lush Marchfeld Canal and the apartments’ spacious open areas (every unit has a balcony, loggia, terrace or private garden) make “Schöneck 13” even more attractive for nature lovers.
