BUWOG project AMELIE celebrates topping out in Biotope City

On 22 November 2018 on the former grounds of Coca-Cola in Vienna's 10th district the topping out was celebrated for the BUWOG project "AMELIE". Andreas Holler, managing director of development at the BUWOG Group in Austria, welcomed the approximately 100 guests and thanked all of the partners involved in the project – including BKK-3, which is responsible for the architecture of the three components. Josef Kaindl, deputy district manager and chairman of the 10th district's committee on construction, observed the development of the project for himself on location. "AMELIE makes apartment seekers' dream of a home surrounded by greenery come true. The focus is on spacious communal areas and private open spaces such as balconies, loggias or terraces with private gardens for all residents. We are pleased to have finished constructing the shell of 'AMELIE' on schedule – having done so primarily as a result of our reliable and competent project partners," Andreas Holler says.

Dream home surrounded by greenery

The 10th district is one of Vienna's up-and-coming districts and is being upgraded again with Biotope City, which was recently nominated as an IBA candidate for the International Building Exhibition in 2022. The BUWOG Group's presence Biotope City stands out in particular with its project "AMELIE", which consists of three components: the 136 privately financed condominiums are located at Zelda-Kaplan-Weg 8-12 and have total floor area of approximately 52 sqm to 119 sqm, each with two to four rooms. Each residential unit has been planned with open areas and, once completed, will feature the customary high level of BUWOG standards for fixtures and fittings. Communal facilities such as urban gardening areas and a sauna ensure greater interaction among future residents. A playground for toddlers is also provided for the youngest. The direct access to the adjacent Otto Benesch Park makes "AMELIE" the ideal project for families and nature lovers. Optimal infrastructure is also provided: supermarkets, pharmacies, schools, kindergartens and medical facilities are located in the immediate vicinity as well as the SCS Shopping City Süd, which is easily reached by car. Only a few minutes away there are stations for a variety of bus lines offering a quick public connection to the Meidling railway station and more. "AMELIE" offers drivers on Triester Straße optimal access to the A2; 131 parking spaces will be available in the in-house underground car park in the future.

The completion of AMELIE is scheduled for summer of 2019.
