From 0 to 100: MARINA TOWER reaches the 100-metre mark

  • Shell: 100 of approx. 140 metres completed
  • Topping out for "low rise"
  • Continuing sales success & sales launch for penthouse apartments
  • Completion of the overall project by summer 2022

At the time of completion, it will be the tallest residential high-rise in Austria in terms of the number of floors: MARINA TOWER, a joint project of BUWOG and IES Immobilien, is currently growing upward, step by step, on Vienna's Handelskai and will already reach the 100-metre mark by the end of March 2021. So there is not much left until its final height of about 140 metres with 41 floors is reached – the project will be completed by summer 2022.

There will soon be a small topping-out ceremony: "MARINA TOWER consists of two towers – the 140- metre 'high rise' and the 45-metre  'low rise'. The shell of the latter will be completed shortly, which means we've reached another significant milestone," says Andreas Holler, managing director of MARINA TOWER Holding GmbH.

On the path to success above the rooftops of Vienna

There is also news regarding sales: the demand for apartments in MARINA TOWER remains high, which is reflected in the sales figures, as more than 65 percent of the total of 511 privately financed condominiums have already been sold. In addition, sales recently began for the six particularly exclusive penthouse apartments on MARINA TOWER'S top floors.

"The high level of demand is marvellous confirmation that we're in touch with the latest trends with our joint project and providing housing on the right bank of the Danube that not only has a great view but something for everyone," says David Hofmann, also managing director of MARINA TOWER Holding GmbH. "Our spacious penthouse apartments are of course a special highlight, partly because of the private rooftop terraces of up to 120 sqm – at a height of around 139 metres, a persuasive unique selling point."

Living between the skies and the water

With its direct location on the right bank of the Danube, MARINA TOWER not only offers its future residents magnificent views of the water but also direct access to it via the MARINA Deck. Upon completion, it will offer extensive areas for gathering, unwinding and spending time. A café is also planned.

In MARINA TOWER itself, residents can expect a wide range of services: a medical centre, pharmacy, kindergarten and a tobacconist are planned. Several facilities such as a local grocer and a fitness centre have already been agreed. Future residents will also enjoy a concierge service, a guest lounge with a terrace, a catering kitchen and a home cinema.

The project is also compelling due to its high quality of sustainability. The extensive environmentally compatible measures have already been recognised with awards from klimaaktiv and ÖGNI (the Austrian Sustainable Building Council). They range from certified product and chemical management to building greening and a sustainable mobility concept. Once the project is finished, residents will also benefit from the building's high level of energy efficiency and first-rate quality of the building materials and products used.
