MARINA TOWER: Vienna’s most spectacular residential tower celebrates its topping out

  • 41 floors, 140 metres high, 44,850 sqm floor area
  • Completion in summer 2022, three quarters already placed
  • Excellent location by the Danube, underground and near the motorway access

Perhaps the most spectacular residential tower in the federal capital with its 140 metres’ height, 44,850 square metres of floor area, distinctive architecture and unparalleled location on the Danube, MARINA TOWER has reached an important milestone: its topping out was celebrated on 21 July.

The tower, a joint venture of BUWOG and its project partner IES Immobilien, has enjoyed an extraordinarily high level of demand. Somewhat less than a year ahead of completion, three quarters of the 511 units being built on 41 floors, six of them exclusive top-floor penthouses, have been sold.

“With MARINA TOWER we can make a one-of-a-kind offer,” says BUWOG Managing Director Andreas Holler: “A residential tower that also offers outstanding quality based on international standards, at a location that combines rapid accessibility to the city centre and the airport with a lovely waterfront location between the recreational paradises of the Danube, Danube Island and the Prater, is obviously a model of success that is very popular with the Viennese market.”

“The high level of demand is marvellous confirmation that we’re in touch with the latest trends, providing housing on the right bank of the Danube that not only has a great view but also something for everyone,” says David Hofmann, also Managing Director of MARINA TOWER Holding GmbH. “Our spacious penthouse apartments with private rooftop terraces of up to 120 square meters are of course a particular highlight.”

The location directly on the right bank of the Danube not only offers future residents magnificent views of the river, but also direct access to the water with the MARINA Deck and its shared space for unwinding and spending time and a café. A medical centre is planned in MARINA TOWER itself. There will also be a pharmacy, kindergarten and a tobacconist. Several facilities such as a local supplier and a fitness centre have already been agreed. The residents will also enjoy a guest lounge with a terrace, a catering kitchen and a home cinema.

Moreover, MARINA TOWER is a sustainable flagship project and has already been recognised with awards from klimaaktiv and ÖGNI (the Austrian Sustainable Building Council).
