Not far from Kagraner Platz, at Aladar-Pecht-Gasse 15+17, construction is underway on “Terrazza22” – a modern residential complex that features outstanding transport links, a full range of local amenities and close proximity to Vienna’s key recreational areas along the Danube. Building officially began today, 22 September, with a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony. BUWOG Managing Director Kevin Töpfer called attention to the location’s appeal: “In recent years, Kagran has developed into one of the most attractive places to live in northeast Vienna. District Manager Ernst Nevrivy was also present at the groundbreaking ceremony and emphasised that “Donaustadt is one of Vienna’s fastest-growing districts, which means any form of housing is a boon. Projects such as ‘Terrazza22’ confirm that in our district premium residential development and a high quality of life go hand in hand.”

Comprising 159 privately financed condominiums and one commercial unit, “Terrazza22” is a new residential development under construction not far from the Danube and Kagraner Platz. Architect Johannes Mayer of BKK-3 Architekten on the new development: “Even in our very first sketches, the image of a lush vineyard emerged. A wide and dense strip of greenery forms a peaceful transition between the city and the residential area. From there, the building rises terrace by terrace, creating open areas that are spacious and green. Trellises and pergolas support the plants, provide shade and integrate the building into a cohesive whole. The result is a living façade that changes with the seasons and its residents.”

The project’s location is also excellent: the area around Aladar-Pecht-Gasse is contemporary and undergoing robust growth, and it’s very well connected, offering short journeys for everyday life concerns, proximity to the Alte Donau and a direct link Vienna’s city centre. The U1 underground line provides excellent connections to key parts of the city – from the Donauzentrum and the Alte Donau via Kaisermühlen and the Prater to Stephansplatz and Vienna Central Station. “Terrazza22” is situated precisely at this junction – where urban life, recreational spaces and a new standard of living merge.
