  • New trade fair for architecture, building and design
  • Award for BUWOG in the category “Housing”
  • Strong sign of recognition on the part of the architectural industry

At the end of November, more than 1,500 professionals from the construction and real estate industry gathered at the Marx Halle in Vienna for the first edition of “Meet the Architect” event aimed at building the future together with a focus on circular construction. At the forefront was an exchange of ideas concerning innovative materials, digital tools and sustainable construction methods. In addition to stimulating panel discussions and an art exhibition, one of the highlights of the extensive supporting programme was the awards ceremony: the gala evening honoured the most inspiring projects of the year and brought together architects, developers, designers and industry leaders from across Europe, focusing on recognition, networking and inspiration with the aim of advancing the architecture and design community.

Among the winners in the “Best Developer of the Year” segment, BUWOG was compelling in the “Housing” category. “It is a special honour to receive this award,” said Andreas Holler, managing director of BUWOG Group GmbH. “As a property developer, we work very closely with a wide range of architectural firms. Together, we are developing the residential spaces of the future, and we are proud to receive this recognition from the architectural industry.”

The shortlist of prize-winners was compiled based on a survey of Austrian architects conducted by a market research institute. More than 200 nominations were submitted.
